Accounts – do you provide financial accounts or management accounts?

We provide both financial accounting and management accounting services, as well as audit, business planning and tax advice and planning.


Audits – can you audit our accounts?

Yes, we are Registered Auditors, authorised under the Companies Act 2006 for the audit of charities and companies in England and Wales.


Business plan – can you help us put a business plan together to help secure funding?

Yes we can. We have a great deal of expertise in this area, both internally and via our business planning associate.


Clients – what type of clients do you work with?

We work with a wide range of small and medium businesses, as well as charities and not-for-profit organisations. We also work with offshore organisations who have business interests in the UK, and with high net worth individuals.


Communication – how often will we hear from you?

This will depend on the services we are providing you, but we will be in regular contact, and we always invite you to just pick up the phone and call if you have a query.


Contact – who will we be working with?

You will have a lead account manager who will be your main point of contact. They will be a direct member of our team and responsible for your work. If other team members or specialist associates are called upon, your lead account manager will remain your point of contact and the person responsible.


Fees – how will you charge us?

We work with clients on either a fixed fee or hourly basis. The fees will be agreed with you prior to commencement of work.


Free consultation – do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes we do offer a free one-hour consultation to all prospective clients. Call us on 020 8686 8876 or send us an email if you would like to book a meeting.


HMRC – can you help us if we get an enquiry from HMRC?

Yes, we can help you with any enquiries. We also offer our clients a low cost fee protection scheme, to cover our fees in the event of an enquiry.


Qualifications – what qualifications do your team have?

Peter Burke and Kalpesh Shah are qualified full members of ACCA, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, and Mariyam Khan is a trainee member, close to qualifying.


Software – which programmes do you support?

We can accept accounts in a range of formats. We are an authorised partners of ClearBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage and Xero.


Tax – can you help us with both business and personal tax matters?

Yes we can. We provide personal tax planning advice for clients, as well as managing all aspects of their tax affairs. Clients tend to be directors of companies that are clients of ours, as well as high net worth individuals.


Tax – can you help us with complex tax matters?

Yes, we work in all aspects of tax. We also have a team of specialist associates, each an expert in their field, who we work with when required.


Track record – how long have you been in business?

The practice started before World War II. There have been a number of partnerships since then, including Cruse + Burke, formed in 1992, which has been managed by Peter Burke since 1998.
